The Prime Minister is facing a revolt among Tory MPs over the “circumventing” of his veto which blocked a new EU treaty to deepen further fiscal union among eurozone countries at a summit last month.

Prepare to be scrutinised at university open days

The approach of open day used to mean it was time for Britain's campuses to be scrubbed until they shone, then plastered with information about course subjects and extracurricular activities. Nowadays, it's just as likely to be potential students who dress up and gen up for open day. With demand for places on many courses remaining high despite newly increased tuition fees, admissions tutors now see the open day as an early chance to hunt for undergraduates who stand out from the crowd.

That's why the first rule of the day for applicants is to censor mum and dad. "One of the things that stands out about the prospective student is someone who comes up and chats to you, where they do the talking, not their parents," says Linda Thompson, faculty director at Staffordshire University. "Too many students turn up at open days, pick up literature and attend presentations – but don't speak to anyone. Or they let their parents do all the talking."

Fishing and Whiskey

One Saturday morning,Glen decided to go fishing.

He sat there for hours, but nothing. The bottle whiskey that he've took with him,was also empty. He throw the empty bottle into pieces against a nearby rock.

All of a sudden, there was something on the hook.He pulled the fish out of the water. The only fish for the day so far.The fish was so small,Glen decided to throw it back.

The little fish was so exited,to such an extend, that it decided to give Glen one wish.

He asked the little fish for some more whiskey. The fish said,"Allright then, when you're urinating,it will be pure whiskey."

So Glen sat there, and wonder, can this really be ? Glen took a glass and urinate in it.It was pure, pure whiskey.

A while later,a women, who was standing nearby, comes to him and asks,"sir are you allright ? I saw you drinking your own piss."no,said Glen,it's whiskey.

The women laughed. He urinate into the glass, and gave it to her.She could'nt believe it.

So they sat there almost for the rest of the day, drinking whiskey.

After about the seventh double, she asks Glen for a nother one.He looked her in the eye, throw the glass into pieces against the rock and said "What about drinking out of the bottle ?"

Umar Gul inspires victory in Dubai

Trailing by 146 runs, England made a disastrous start as Umar Gul (4-63) removed Andrew Strauss, Alastair Cook and Kevin Pietersen cheaply.
Spinners Saeed Ajmal and Abdur Rehman then claimed three wickets apiece as England were skittled out for 160.
Pakistan's openers easily knocked off the required 15 runs to seal victory.
Just as it had been in the first innings, England's batting performance made a mockery of their number one Test ranking as their technique and concentration were found wanting.
